Oklahoma Journal of Law & Technology

Faculty Sponsor: Professor Drew Kershen

OKJOLT is the newest law review at the College of Law, and the first and only law review in the state of Oklahoma electronically published and dedicated to the convergence of law and technology. Professor Kershen serves as the faculty advisor for this journal. Second or third year students may enroll in this course for one-hour of academic credit. This one-hour academic credit would count against the four credit hour maximum of law review and directed legal research that a student may count towards graduation. Students also may not receive academic credit in OKJOLT in the same semester as they are enrolled in American Indian Law Review or Oklahoma Law Review.

Students who enroll for one-hour credit as a candidate (i.e. not as a member of the OKJOLT Editorial Board) must write three e-briefs. Click here for a description of eBriefs. Students must work with the editors of OKJOLT as they write these e-briefs. OKJOLT prefers that students also have a faculty advisor for each e-brief, but this is not an absolute requirement. Each e-brief is a minimum of 7-10 pages in manuscript with a minimum of 15 footnotes per e-brief and covers issue novelty concerning recent tech-law issues.
